New Hampshire in the fall

My husband and I go for a drive every fall so we can check out all of nature's glory. This year we took our drive and as usual Mother Nature never disappoints with her display of finery. We try to take a different route every year so we can see other areas of the state and this year was no exception. We took a 2 hour drive as opposed to our usual all day affair, and even though it was just a short drive, it was well worth the trip. I am amazed every time we go out how truly blessed I am to be living in such a wonderful state. New Hampshire is the perfect place to experience all 4 seasons in their finest. Fall is by far my favorite season with its display of colorful leaves and the homes and yards decorated with pumpkins, gourds, and mums. Crisp chilly nights the stars in the night sky seeming to shine just a bit brighter. Windy days bring a shower of colorful leaves falling all around to transform the yard into a canvas of color painted by nature. Even the air smells different, crisper, earthier. Soon Halloween will be here and Thanksgiving will be close behind, holidays I look forward too every fall. I've posted some pictures of our drive for you to enjoy, happy fall everyone!

Fall in New Hampshire

I was driving home from work today, and as always I drove past what we like to call our view. Last night we had some rain and of course the fog comes with the chilly mornings after the rain. I never seem to have a camera when I need one, so I had to use my cell phone to take these photo's. The sun was peeking through a thin layer of clouds but as I rounded the corner to home I was greeted by this site. I am in awe of nature's beauty, and every fall I am even more thankful that god has blessed New Hampshire with majestic trees and flowing streams and rivers to display his glorious colors upon his pallet.
Andre and I take a foliage ride every year, and this year will be no different. We have plans to take our drive this weekend so I will of course share the pictures I take along our journey. Soon the snow will fly and I will complain of the cold days and barren trees. The bright side? Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner and all too soon life will return with the spring.
